Mistyped Foundations is an exploration of my experiences as a young black man in the suburbs. Through working in mixed medias including collage, photography and wheat-paste; the temporality of suburban developments as well as the implicit rules regarding access/denial,

belonging,

and exclusion that accompany them are acknowledged, accepted and ultimately challenged to shed light on the complex realities of the lived black experience in overwhelmingly white spaces.
